- HIS SON AND SUCCESSOR WAS SIKANDAR LODI.
SIKANDAR LODI 1489 – 1517 AD
- HIS REAL NAME WAS NIZAM KHAN.
- HE DEFEATED HUSAIN SHAH SHARKI OF JAUNPUR.
- HE INTRODUCED SIKANDARI PAIMANA FOR LAND MEASUREMENT.
- HE DESTROYED THE JWALAMUKHI TEMPLE OF NAGARKOT.
- ON HIS ORDER THE SANSKRIT BOOK ‘AYURVEDA’ WAS TRANSLATED IN PERSIAN AS FARHANGE SIKANDAR.
- IN 1504 HE ESTABLISHED THE CITY OF AGRA AND LATER HE SHIFTED HIS CAPITAL THERE.
- HE COMPOSED MANY POEMS IN THE PERSIAN LANGUAGE UNDER THE TITLE ‘GULRUKHI’.
- HE DIED DUE TO THE DISEASE OF THE THROAT IN NOVEMBER 1517 AD.
- HIS SON AND SUCCESSOR WERE IBRAHIM LODI.
IBRAHIM LODI 1517-1526 AD
- HE THRONGED HIMSELF WITH THE TITLE OF IBRAHIM SHAH.
- DAULAT KHAN LODI (RULER OF PUNJAB) AND ALAM KHAN (UNCLE OF IBRAHIM LODI) INVITED BABUR TO ATTACK ON DELHI.
- ON 21 APRIL 1526 AD THE FIRST BATTLE OF PANIPAT WAS FOUGHT BETWEEN IBRAHIM LODI AND BABUR.
- HE WAS DEFEATED AND KILLED IN THIS BATTLE.
